Rodney Phillip Weaver Sr.
Rodney Phillip Weaver Sr. was born Aug. 26, 1972, in Kansas City, Mo., to father Clarence Woods Sr. and Teretha Weaver, and departed this life Dec. 31, 2024, at his residence in Blythevill. Rodney was an ordained minister and a local business owner, where he resided, in Blytheville. He served his community as a barber, leader, neighborhood advocate and friend. He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Anthony Lovell Weaver; and one special son, Shaquan Haynes.
He is survived by one daughter, Amariah Ford (Blytheville); two sons, Rodney Weaver Jr. (Mesquite, Texas ) and Rodarius Weaver (Blytheville); two sons of love; Cortedz Ephriam (Dallas, Texas) and Jarren Ephriam (Houston, Texas); two sisters, ShaToya Weaver (Blytheville) and Leslie Jacobs (Kansas City, Mo.); one niece, Terryn Weaver (Blytheville); two brothers, Clarence Woods Jr. (Kansas City, Mo.) and John Ross (Kansas City, MO.); special aunts, Althea (Burton) Furlow (Blytheville) and Verlene Collins (Cape Girardeau, Mo.); uncle, Theartha Weaver (Blytheville); stepfather, Anthony Howard (Kansas City, Mo.). He also leaves a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation is set for Saturday, Jan. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at New Immanuel MB Church, 1425 S. Elm Blytheville. Pastor is Burton Furlow Sr. Life celebration will be held Sunday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 E. McHaney, Blytheville. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Blytheville with host Pastor Rev. Odale Jones and Pastor Burton Furlow Sr. officiating.
