Gloria Ann Stewart Morgan, 85, passed away peacefully Dec. 20, 2024 at PruittHealth Nursing Home, Milton, Fla. She was a resident of Pace, Fla.

She was born in Cardwell, Mo., on Sept. 14, 1939, to Novas Benjamin Stewart and Oma Lee (Cupp) Stewart King. She grew up in Steele, Mo., and graduated from Steele High School in 1958. After graduation, she married and raised five children.

Gloria was a woman of unwavering faith who walked in the Light of the Lord. She attended Pace Assembly of God.

The family takes comfort in knowing that she is now in the arms of her Savior. As it says in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.”

She is preceded in death by parents; husband Cecil Morgan; brother Richard Dean Stewart; sister-n-law Barbara Jean “Jeanie” (Ozment) Stewart.

She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Hill (Mack Dale) Utley of Blytheville, Jody Hill Lyles of Spanish Fort, Ala., Kimberly Hill (Jim) Casey of Pace, Fla.; two sons, Donald Scott (Leandra) Hill II of Holiday, Fla., and James Christopher (Gidget) Welch of Elberta, Ala.; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Kendrick, Jamie Lyles, Julie Penn, Brooke Arriola, Scotty Hill, Alex Casey, Blythe Champion, Braxton Champion, Brandy Simpson, Randy Casey, Erica Christmas, Dillon Welch and Brayden Burke; 17 great-grandchildren; niece Cindy Nations; nephews, Richard Stewart II and Joseph Stewart.

Pallbearers are Alex Casey, Jim Casey, Braxton Champion, Cole Kendrick, Jamie Lyles and Owen Lyles.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home with Brother Charles Clark officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service, also at Powell Funeral Home, 122 East Main Street, in Steele, Mo.

Burial followed at Mount Zion Cemetery, Steele, Mo.
