Verdell Boyd

Verdell Boyd, 92 year old resident of Monette Manor, passed from this life Dec. 25, 2024. Verdell was born Jan. 5, 1932, to the late Lonnie and Adda Newman, in Russellville.

In addition to her parents, Verdell was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Thomas Boyd; one daughter, Rosemary Boyd; two brothers, Elmer Newman and Dee Newman; and one sister, Estell Newman.

She was survived by one son, Thomas Boyd Jr. (Sheryl) of Lepanto; four grandchildren, Katy (Ricky) Richards, Becky (Sonny) Boyd, Pat (Lauren) Boyd and Josh (Jacqueline) Boyd; and seven great-grandchildren, McKenzie Collins, Chase Collins, Drake Collins, Luke Collins, Oaklee Boyd, Kensleigh Boyd and Huntlee Boyd.

The family received visitors at Wilson Funeral Home, Osceola, at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28. The funeral service began at 2 p.m. with Bro. Daniel Nooner officiating. Burial followed in Potter’s Cemetery in Lepanto.

All services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Osceola.
