Ginger K. Croom Christie
Ginger K. Croom Christie, 62, of Manila, passed from this life Dec. 4, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1962 in Manila. Daughter of Janice Croom, she was born and raised in Manila and was a 1980 graduate of Manila High School. After graduation she went on to earn a BSE in early education from Arkansas State University. She taught for 10 years at MISCO Elementary and two years at Manila Elementary. Ginger was a lifelong member of the Manila Methodist Church. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, and won several karaoke contests all around Arkansas. Ginger loved her two dogs, Max and Little Girl, with all of her heart. She was preceded in death by her son, Cade Christie.
Survivors include her mother, Janice Croom of Manila; one aunt, Ann Wells (Gary) of Manila; four cousins, Casey Wells (Christy), Gray Wells and Ava Wells, all of Manila, and Shawn Matthews of Washington State. Ginger also leaves a host of other friends and family.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila officiated by Reverend Jerry Pentecost. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Casey Wells, Gary Wells, Gray Wells, James McMinn, Jackie Hill and Ty Tyler. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Charles Cole. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until service time.
