Robert “Rob” Fox
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Rob” Fox, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a true pillar of his community. Rob passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, leadership, and service that touched countless lives.
Born with a calling to care for others, Rob followed in the footsteps of his beloved mother Judy, a dedicated registered nurse. With her inspiration, he entered the healthcare field then went on to become a paramedic. Rob also established Riverside Ambulance over 30 years ago. Through his tireless dedication and visionary leadership, Rob built a reputation for providing exceptional care and fostering a workplace that was more than a team—it was a family.
Rob was a loving husband to Deann Fox, his partner in life and in service, who also works as a registered nurse. Together, they shared a passion for helping others and created a beautiful life, surrounded by their family, and filled with love and purpose.
Rob took immense pride in his two children, who were the joy of his life. His son, Blake, followed in his footsteps to become a paramedic, continuing Rob’s legacy of service and care. The bond between father and son was one of shared dedication, mutual respect, and deep love. His daughter, Jessica, inherited Rob’s love of animals and works as a vet tech, a field that perfectly reflects her compassionate and kind spirit. Rob was endlessly proud of Jessica. She was the light of his life and in his eyes, she could do no wrong. Rob cherished his children’s passion and celebrated their accomplishments, finding joy in their care for others, both human and animal.
Rob had a unique way of showing his affection for his little sister Lisa, often with a tease. Growing up, they faced many tragedies together, which forged an unbreakable bond of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Rob’s happiest moments were spent at Pickwick Lake, a place deeply tied to his roots and his heart. He grew up fishing there with his grandfather and father, learning the values of patience, skill, and family connection. His father Bobby, who grew up near Pickwick and now rests there, instilled in Rob a love for the water that he carried throughout his life. Rob carried on this tradition with his own family, sharing the clear creeks, beautiful waterfalls, and joyful moments on and around Pickwick Lake with his children and grandchildren.
Above all else, Rob adored his seven grandchildren who were the light of his life. Whether he was hanging out with them at his house after school, taking them to the lake, or simply soaking up their laughter, Rob’s pride and love for his grandchildren was unmatched.
Rob’s passing is a tremendous loss, not only for his family but for the many communities he served with unwavering commitment. He will be remembered as a dedicated paramedic, a caring mentor, and a loyal friend whose compassion and kindness left a lasting mark.
He is survived by his mother Judy; his wife Deann; his son Blake and daughter-in-law Kaity; his daughter Jessica; his grandchildren, Reid, Emma, Marc, Taylee, Paxtyn, Joshua, and Hayes, who brought him endless joy; his sister, niece and nephew, and the extended family of Riverside Ambulance employees and friends who admired and loved him dearly.
The family invited everyone to celebrate Rob’s life. Visitation was held at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza on Monday, Nov. 25, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service followed on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to James D. Easton Transplant Institute in Memphis in honor of Rob’s lifelong commitment to helping others.
Rest in peace, Rob. We love you. Your legacy will live on through your family, in the lives you’ve touched, and the hearts you’ve healed.
