Nathaniel Adams Jr.

Nathaniel Adams Jr., 74, of Joiner, passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at his home. Nathaniel was born Feb. 15, 1950, in Joiner to Nathaniel Adams Sr. and Gracie Mae Glover-Smith. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Frenchman’s Bayou.

In addition to his parents, Nathaniel was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Smith, and one sister, Donna Adams.

Nathaniel leaves five brothers, Bruce Adams of Potsdam, N.Y., Stanley (Myra) Smith of Joiner, Elvis (Tina) Smith of Augusta, Ga., Randy (Glenda) Smith of Westminster, S.C., and Homer Boone of Turrell; five sisters, Clara Harris of Elgin, Ill., Lonna Hammond of Forrest City, Diana Meade of Joiner, Cynthia Jones of Elgin, Ill., and Beverly George) Williams of Joiner; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at First Baptist Church, Frenchman’s Bayou. The funeral service for Nathaniel is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., also at First Baptist in Frenchman’s Bayou, with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Rivercrest Gardens, Marie. Wilson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
