Assie Ree Washington, 79, of Osceola, passed away Nov. 15, 2024, in Jonesboro. She was born July 28, 1945, to Jessie McGraw and Addie Robinson, in Grider. Assie lived a life marked by her dedication to her family and her faith.

Assie leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply. She is survived by three grandchildren whom she raised as her own, Tabetha Clark (Altony) of Arlington, Texas, Yolanda Bornds (Alton) of Osceola, and Michael Washington of Osceola. She also leaves behind her daughters, Sharon Beare (Oscar) of Osceola and Sandra Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Phyllis Davenport (Reginald) of Osceola and Dorothy Crutison of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her extended family includes a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss her deeply.

Assie was preceded in death by her father, Jessie McGraw; mother, Addie Robinson; companion, Curtis Lee Bradley; son, Bobby Washington; brother, Frank Harris; and sisters, Assie Lee Frazier (her twin) and Brenda Faye Cosey.

A devoted member of the Living Word Cathedral in Osceola, Assie was deeply involved in her church community where she found much joy and solace.

The family will receive visitors, 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1323 W. Keiser Ave., Osceola, AR 72370. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Living Word Cathedral, Osceola, with Pastor Archie Thomas officiating. Assie will be laid to rest at Whiteside Cemetery following the service. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola is assisting the family with all arrangements.

Assie’s legacy is a testament to her unwavering love and the deep bonds she fostered throughout her life. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and enduring commitment to her family and faith.
