Duxie Pearlie Statler

Duxie Pearlie Statler, 91, of Leachville, passed from this life Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at her home. Born in Poe, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Rosa Mae Jackson Davis and had been a Leachville area resident since 1946. She was retired from American Greetings where she was employed for many years as a shipping clerk. Duxie had also worked for the former Florafax Company in Leachville and the Rodman Medical Clinic. She enjoyed quilting, painting, crochet and sewing. Duxie was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Davis, Bud Davis, Marlon Davis and Bobby Davis, and four sisters, Esoline Norman, Classetta Wheeler, Daisy Fletcher and Carlon Routon.

Survivors include one son, Boyce Ledford (Becky) of Leachville; two daughters, Theetta Potter (Bill) of Paragould and Julie Locke (Bill) of Paragould. She also leaves one sister, Len Burdge of Canton, Texas; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Dewayne Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
