Gregory Keith Galbraith Sr.
Gregory Keith Galbraith Sr., 71, of Jonesboro, peacefully passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, surrounded by his loved ones. Born Aug. 18, 1953, in San Diego, Calif., to the late Edgar and Gloria Galbraith, Gregory moved to Blytheville in 1975 and later settled in Jonesboro eight years ago. He was a proud member of the Pentecostals of Jonesboro.
A dedicated veteran, Gregory served in the United States Navy as an electronic technician stationed in Japan from 1971 to 1975. Known for his skills as a master electrician, he had a gift for fixing just about anything. He loved raising tropical fish, tending to his aquariums, and cultivating a large garden, delighting in preserving his harvest each season. Passionate about politics and world affairs, Gregory never missed an opportunity to vote and always kept up with current events.
Above all, Gregory cherished his family and his faith, having served the Lord faithfully for 49 years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Galbraith.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Galbraith, of Jonesboro; his son, Gregory (Trista) Galbraith of Newbern, Tenn.; his daughter, Paige (Joshua) Cantu of Jonesboro; his brothers, Walter (Penny) Galbraith of Kentucky and Mark (Cheri) Galbraith of New Jersey; his sister, Debbie (John) Rickards of Illinois; and his four cherished grandchildren, Jenna Kate Galbraith, Tate Wilkerson, Cheyanne Cantu and Cooper Cantu.
Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Pentecostals of Jonesboro, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, with Darrell Runyan and Richard Lee officiating. Interment will take place at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Gregory Galbraith Jr., Joshua Cantu, Billy Hancock, Eddie Brown, Mike Pate and Stanley Haywood.
