John “Donald” Wagner

John “Donald” Wagner, 88, of Ridgeland, Miss., formerly of Trumann, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, in Ridgeland. He was born Dec. 22, 1935, to James and Lucille (McFarland) Wagner. Donald was in the Airborne Division of the United States Army, and after leaving the Army he spent his career farming soybeans, rice and cotton. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where he was very active. He was a Mason and a Shriner, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 64 years, Jerry; and daughter Kaye Wagner.

Those left to remember Donald are his sons, Boyce Wagner and Leslie Wagner; granddaughter Bianca Wagner; and many family, friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church 12649 Renshaw Lane Trumann, AR 72472. Burial will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery. The family will receive people before the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.
