Mary Ann Cook
Mary Ann Cook, 74, of Osceola, passed away Sept. 24, 2024. Born on April 11, 1950, in Osceola, she was the daughter of Horace James Jackson and Rachel Thompson.
Mary was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she participated actively in church activities and formed many cherished relationships throughout her life.
Mary is survived by her four daughters, Pattina (Christopher) Bausley of Killeen, Texas, Mary Alice (David) James of Osceola, Christina (Tyrone) Cook of Osceola, and Dorothy (Martiesha) Dupree of Burleson, Texas; four brothers, George Williams and Rickey Williams, both of Osceola, Randy Thompson of Carrolton, Vir., and Naith Thompson of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Cook; her parents; stepfather, Naith Thompson; four brothers, James Earl Jackson, Jerry Williams, Robert Jackson, Mickey Thompson; and one sister, Gale Thompson.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave, Osceola. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 222 E. Semmes Ave., Osceola. A committal service will follow at Whiteside Cemetery, N. Pearl, Osceola.
Mary’s life was marked by her unwavering kindness and the deep bonds she formed with those around her. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all who knew her.
