Gay Helen Duclos
Gay Helen Duclos, 89, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born in Gilt Edge, Tenn., to Roy I. and Evelyn Perry McMillin. Gay was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church. She enjoyed square dancing with her late husband, John. Together, they taught square dancing, line dancing, and clogging at Arkansas Northeastern College. Gay had many hobbies including working in the yard, planting flowers, crafting and embroidery, drawing and painting, especially birds or greenery.
In addition to her parents, Gay was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Duclos; one son, Christian Drew Duclos; and two brothers, Delano and Dewayne McMillin.
Gay is survived by her son, John “Joey” Duclos II, and wife Lisa of Blytheville; two grandsons, Travis Duclos, and wife Brooke, and Ryan Duclos, and wife Lauren; and five great-grandchildren, Hadley, Hutch, Blakely, Beckett and Banks; two godchildren, Abigail and Leah Catacutan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Blaney officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
