Larry Wade Palmer, 80, of Manila, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Pocahontas Health and Rehab. Son of the late Ledger and Annie Thomas Palmer, he was born in the Floodway Community near Manila. Larry was raised in Manila and later lived several years in Powhatan before returning to Manila in 2023. He was a former employee of Costner Farms in Manila and Penn Farms in Portia. He was a member of New Hope Church in Smithville and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Corrine Campbell Palmer, three brothers, five sisters, one granddaughter, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and two stepsons.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberley Miller of Pocahontas; one stepson, Larry Brooks of Illinois; one sister, Shirley Isebell of Manila; six grandchildren, James Brooks, Jonathon Beasley, Madyson Beasley Platz, Cody Lawrence, Rachyl Miller and Lyleigh Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Makennah, Jacob, Amelia, Jayson, Jaxon, Abigail and Atticus.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
