Johnnie Wofford

Johnnie Wofford passed away Sept. 30, 2024, in Jonesboro, at the age of 75. Johnnie was born April 26, 1949, in Mississippi, to the late Jesse and Thelma Wofford.

Johnnie is survived by his three sons, Michael Wofford and Terry Wofford, both of Marked Tree, and Tusonaona Bobo of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Freddie Wofford of Chicago, Ill., and L.C. Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio; and five sisters, Velma Lowery, Bobbie Tumbs and Shirley Walker, all of St. Louis, Mo., Dorothy Sanders of Bellville, Ill., and Channie Brown of Marianna.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Wofford; and son, Charles Wofford.

The family has requested that the services remain private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is assisting the family with arrangements.
