Robert “Bob” L. Crouch, 75, of Sullivan, Mo., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert Leo Crouch, known affectionately as Bob, was born Aug. 21, 1949, in Blytheville to Doyle and Dorothy (Roberts) Crouch. Growing up in Hornersville, Mo., Bob attended local schools and graduated from Senath-Hornersville High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, he married Susie Staggs on June 12, 1968, and together they were blessed with two children, Shannon and Jason. Together they began raising their young family in Rives, Mo., while Bob was employed by Emerson Electric in Kennett, Mo. Bob and Susie would sadly later divorce.

Bob’s career took a new turn when he became a supervisor for Borg-Warner in Blytheville. His skills and dedication were further showcased as he worked as a traveling millwright, taking him across the country. In 2004, Bob moved to Sullivan, Mo., and began working for Sporlan Valve in Washington, where he remained until his retirement in 2018. Bob was rarely idle and later went to work part time for King Machine in Bourbon, until his health no longer allowed him.

Love blossomed again for Bob when he married Zetty Lane on Nov. 4, 2005. The couple made their home in Stanton, Mo., where they blended their families in a household filled with love and laughter.

Bob was a skilled woodworker, crafting beautiful rocking chairs, signs, and birdhouses that were cherished by all who received them. An avid sports fan, Bob especially loved Cardinals baseball and was often found cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, even serving as a coach in Upwards Basketball. His passion for westerns was evident in his love for John Wayne books and films. Bob and Zetty enjoyed celebrating their love with anniversary trips to Branson, a tradition that held a special place in their hearts.

Above all, Bob cherished his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
