Corrine Young

Corrine Young, 94, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024 at Manila Healthcare.

Corrine was born in Baldwin, Ga., to Nero and Dora Brady Norton. She was an avid flower gardener, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed feeding everyone that came to her home. She was a member of First Christian Church in Blytheville.

In addition to her parents, Corrine was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Corrine is survived by her husband, Charles Hoyt Young of the home; a daughter, Laverne Herron and husband Roy of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Amanda Sims and husband David of Jonesboro and Alan Herron of Louisville, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren, Layne and Dustin Sims.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. Entombment will follow in Dogwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. The family requests memorials to the Blytheville Humane Society.
