Donald Hugh Patterson, longtime partner of Charlene Lee-Schulte, of Little Rock, was a beloved figure, born and raised in Bassett. A proud graduate of Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Don also served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. In addition to his military service, Don was a self-taught musician, proficient in both guitar and violin. His musical talents were a cherished part of family gatherings and moments at home, often seen playing and singing for the enjoyment of his loved ones. His appreciation for music and his ability to entertain will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Don was also known for his love of cooking, particularly Cajun cuisine, which he delighted in preparing for family and friends. His culinary skills were matched only by his devotion to his children and grandchildren, with whom he shared many joyful moments. Throughout his life, Don lived with a sense of purpose and a commitment to leaving the world a better place through his beliefs and actions. His legacy is one of passion, perseverance, and a deep love of family.
