Ann Zehner Reed

Ann Zehner Reed, 87, of Manila, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Daughter of the late Charles King and Inez Virginia Bailey Zehner, she was born in Samson, Ala., and raised in Bay Minette, Ala. She was a graduate of Bay Minette High School and later attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala. Ann was the former owner and operator of The Christian Book Store in Mountain Home. She had been a Manila resident since 2018 and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Dyess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walt Zehner.

Survivors include one son, David Gardner (Pia) of Tokyo, Japan; three daughters, Lauren Smith (Greg) of Manila, Angie Gardner (Tony) of Memphis and Charlotte Burke (Matt) of Austin, Texas. Ann also leaves eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
