Robert Lynn Brown

Robert Lynn Brown “Big Bootsy” of Blytheville passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Great River Medical Center at the age of 61. Robert was born Feb. 17, 1963, in Osceola to Robert L. Brown and Joyce Cooper. He was of the Baptist faith joining 1st Missionary Baptist Church when he was a child and was a graduate of Blytheville High School.

Robert is survived by his mother, Mrs. Joyce Cooper Alfred, of the home; his father, Robert L. (Betty) Brown, of Olivette, Mo.; one son, Robert (Brandi) Brown, III of Lancaster, Texas; three sisters, Valinda Bailey of Aurora, Colo., Tonya Taylor of Lancaster, Texas, and Valencia Hunter of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10-11 a.m. at 1st Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Oct. 5. Reverend Jones will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
