Elma Beard

Elma Beard, of Blytheville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at the age of 96.

Born to Sterling and Loda Ethridge Conley, Elma worked for American Greetings, where she retired. She was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. Elma enjoyed traveling and flying in helicopters and planes. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and love for her family and dogs.

In addition to her parents, Elma was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Beard; a daughter, Brenda Joyce; and her special dog, Bailey Joe.

Elma is survived by her children, Fred M. Beard and wife Heidi of San Antonio, Texas, Russell Beard and wife Beverly of San Antonio, Texas, Beverly Baldridge and husband Danny of Melbourne, and Bonnie Beard of Blytheville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time.
