Edna Mae “Sue” Yarbro

Edna Mae “Sue” Yarbro, 78, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Daughter of the late William and Ethel Wigington Henry, she was born in Portageville, Mo., and raised in Southeast Missouri. Edna had been a Manila resident since 1971 and was employed by the Manila Nursing Center as a nurses aide. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Hightower near Burdette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Ramirez; a sister, Francis Murphy; and three brothers, Thomas Yarbro, Wesley Yarbro and James Yarbro.

Survivors include four sons, David Wayne Alexander (Jeannie) of Hardy, Michael Lynn Eddings and Charles Allen Manus, both of Jonesboro, and Bobby Lynn Eddings of Cherokee Village; three brothers, George Yarbro of Kennett, Mo., Bobby Yarbro of Cardwell, Mo., and Bill Yarbro of Jonesboro. Edna also leaves 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with pastor Kevin Crider officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
