on CRA and Piggott

The Riverside Boys and Girls tennis teams took on Crowley’s Ridge Academy with the Riverside girls winning and the CRA boys defeating Riverside.

In the girls singles action Riverside’s Kaylee Cox defeated CRA’s Elizabeth Evans 6-0. The Rebels Blakely Biggers defeated Evans as well 6-2.

In doubles action, Riversides Malorie Booth and Brooklyn Berry defeated Sadie Snow and Emma Childress 6-0.

In the boys action, in the singles Keaton Law of CRA defeated Thatcher Durham of Riverside 7-6 (7-3). Justus Stewart of CRA defeated Riverside’s Bryce Smith 7-5 and Zain McClure of Riverside defeated Cole Lemmons of CRA 6-0.

In doubles action, CRA’s Law and Stewart defeated Smith and Cash Gillis of Riverside 7-6 (7-2).

The boys also had a match against Piggott with Zain McClure defeating Lucas Morrow of Piggott 6-1. In doubles Tucker Emery and Maddox Stone of Riverside defeated Cason Mayard and Kyler Reel of Piggott 6-3, while Brayeson Timms and Stone teamed to take down Piggott’s Will Gibson and West Gibson 6-1.

Riverside’s boys are now 2-2 on the season, while the girls are 4-0.

defeats Tuckerman

The Riverside girls and boys tennis teams recently won their matches against visiting Tuckerman.

In girls singles, Maegan Richardson of Tuckerman defeated Kaylee Cox of Riverside 6-1. Avery Moore of Riverside defeated Eve Jones of Tuckerman 6-3.

In doubles action, Riverside won all three matches as Brooklyn Berry and Malorie Booth defeated Addy Williams and Macy Bowen 6-2. Bennett Durham and Lela Poe won over Emma Davis and Allexxia Toddy 6-1 and Blakely Biggers and Henleigh McAnally took down Coeley Gist and Carissa Furst 6-0.

In the boys singles, Thatcher Durham of Riverside won over Kade Keaton 6-0 and Bryce Smith defeated Ryder Brunner 6-3.

In doubles results, Riverside won all four matches as Cash Gillis and Smith defeated Bronx Holland Keaton 6-4. Brayeson Timms and Zain McClure defeated John Allen and Brunner 6-3. Maddox Stone and Tucker Emery won against Andrew Nichols and Dylan Richardson 6-0. Kade Laird and Carter Rae also defeated Brian Hurst and Jayden Chitty 7-5.

The Riverside girls are now 5-0 on the season, while the boys improved to 3-2.

defeats Corning

The Riverside girls tennis team stayed undefeated on the season with a 6-0 win over Corning. The Rebel boys also defeated the Bobcats in straight sets 6-0.

In girls singles, Malorie Booth defeated Corning’s Katlyn Hill 6-0. Blakely Biggers defeated Allysa Burns 6-4, while Madison Good won over Zoey Leonard 6-2. Scout Priest also defeated Carlee Moore of Corning 6-2.

In the girls doubles, Riverside’s Bennett Durham and Kaylee Cox won 6-2 over Harley Houten and Burns of Corning. Lela Poe and Avery Moore also defeated Corning’s team of Moore and Leonard 6-1.

In the boys singles action, Brayeson Timms of Riverside defeated Jake Van Nad of Corning 6-1. Cash Gillis of Riverside defeated Max Jordan of Corning 6-0. The Rebels Zain McClure defeated Corning’s Jayden Woodard 6-0 and Maddox Stone defeated Max Massey 6-0.

In doubles, Gillis and Timms of Riverside defeated Van Nad and Woodard 6-0 and the Rebels Stone and Emery beat Jordan Massey 6-0.

The girls improved to 6-0, while the boys are now 4-2 on the season.

The Riverside girls won 6-2 over Crowley’s Ridge Academy recently, while the boys defeated the Falcons 5-0.

In girls singles action, Sophie Snow of CRA won her match over Lela Poe 6-4, while her sister Sadie Snow defeated the Lady Rebels Avery Moore 6-3.

Riverside won the last four singles contests as Blakely Biggers defeated Elizabeth Evans 6-0. Emmie Sanders won versus Eden Lemmons 6-1. Madison Hood won a close match over Emma Childress 7-5 and Arden Vaughn defeated Lemmons 6-3.

In doubles, Riverside’s Malorie Booth and Brooklyn Berry won over Snow and Snow 6-0 and Kaylee Cox and Bennett Durham defeated Evans and Childress 6-0.

The girls are now 7-0 while the boys are 5-2 on the season.

Cedar Ridge

Riverside tennis went on the road to take on Cedar Ridge in Newark Sept. 5. In girls action, Riverside won the match 4-1, while the boys won 3-0 over the Timberwolves.

In girls action, Riverside’s Lela Poe won the only singles match 6-0 over Cedar Ridge’s Thalissa Cruz. In doubles Brooklyn Berry and Malorie Booth of Riverside won versus Reagan Skaggs and Lynlee Bruce of Cedar Ridge 6-1. Bennet Durham and Kaylee Cox of Riverside defeated Brooklyn Wright and Addilyn McClain of Cedar Ridge 6-3. The Lady Rebels Avery Moore and Blakely Biggers defeated the Lady Timberwolves Hallie Hayes and Shelby Pankey 6-1. Cedar Ridge won the final doubles match as Skaggs and Bruce defeated Emmie Sanders and Scout Priest 6-2.

In boys action, Riverside won boy singles matches and Thatcher Durham defeated Bradley Pankey 6-0 and Maddox Stone won versus Dawson Engles 6-4.

The Rebels also won the doubles match as Cash Gillis and Bryce Smith combined to defeat Ryden Brown and Ian Craig 6-0.

The Riverside girls remain undefeated at 8-0, while the boys won their fifth consecutive match to improve to 6-2 on the season
