Harlen Jackson, 90, of Leachville, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at Ridgecrest Health and Rehab in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Max Harlen and Adena Patton Jackson and was raised in the Hornersville area. Harlen was a 1952 graduate of Hornersville High School and had been a Leachville resident for most of his life. He was a well-known carpenter having worked throughout northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri. Following his retirement, he enjoyed woodwork and working in his garden.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Kathryn Haddock Jackson of the home; one son, Chris Jackson (Tammy) of Leachville; one daughter, Theresa Stout of Leachville; five grandchildren, Sarah Fountain (Bill), Morgan DeSpain (Preston), Todd Jackson, Christal Tallant (Jimmy) and Kyle Jackson; one brother, LeVerett Jackson of Troy, Mont.; one sister, Edna Mae Graham of St. Louis, Mo. Harlen also leaves nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.
