Eddie Lee Bolar

Eddie Lee Bolar, 75, of Leachville, passed from this life Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at his home. Born in Monette to the late Edward and Linnie Potter Bolar, he was a lifelong Leachville resident and had attended Leachville Public Schools. Eddie was self employed for most of his life and had owned several full service gas stations and Bolar’s Garage and Wrecker Service for many years. He had also worked as a truck driver for Exxon delivering fuel. Eddie was a longtime member of the Leachville Volunteer Fire Department and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Diane Pierce Bolar of the home; one son, Eddie Bolar, Jr. of Leachville; one daughter, Jeanne Hill (Daryl) of Osceola; his twin sister, Marie Sullivan (Wayne) of Leachville. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Blake Bolar, Gunner Bolar, Zack Bolar, Ashlyn Martin, Brent Pace, Bethany Pace and Briley Pace; and two great-grandchildren, Raeliegh Bolar and Brennon Martin.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
