Shirley Ann Harris

Shirley Ann Harris, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away Aug. 30, 2024. She was born May 15, 1948, in Osceola to Morris Lee Jacobs and Grafter Anna Jacobs. Shirley had a fulfilling career, having retired from American Greetings Corp. in her hometown of Osceola.

Shirley is survived by her three sons, Ricky Coleman of Detroit, Mich., Aaron Harris, and Broderick Harris, both of Osceola; two brothers, Morris Jacob Jr. of Marion and Derrick Jacobs of Osceola; five sisters, Grafter Jacobs of Detroit, Mich., Mary Louise Simmons of Fort Worth, Texas, Melody Jacobs and Minnie Parker, both of Osceola, and Doris Anderson of Little Rock; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Angela Harris; three brothers, Robert, Melvin and Calvin Jacobs; four sisters, Ollie Jacobs, Irene Jacobs, Dorothy Hollis, Theola Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Emery Harris.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Osceola. A funeral service will take place the following day, Sept. 14, at Bethlehem M.B. Church at 2 p.m., officiated by Dr. Moses Black. Committal will follow at Whiteside Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola is assisting the family with arrangements. Shirley’s kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
