David Kent “Shorty” Fraser Sr.

David Kent “Shorty” Fraser Sr., 79, of Wynne, passed away Sept. 3, 2024. He was born in Augusta on Oct. 14, 1944, to the late Vernon Fraser and Jewell Howell. David dedicated 12 years of his life serving as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps.

David is survived by his loving family, including his son, David Fraser Jr., and wife Marian of Wynne; daughters, Carla Richardson (Jon Russell) of West Memphis and Belinda Nolan of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Kenny Fraser of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fraser, and brother, Michael Fraser.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 6, from 10-11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. The funeral service will commence at 11 a.m. at the same location, officiated by Bro Gary Andrews. Burial will follow at Tyronza Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded in recognition of his service.
