Arthur “Norman” Taylor
Arthur “Norman” Taylor, 69, of Keiser, affectionately known as “Stormin’ Norman”, was born Sept. 14, 1954, to Robert and Varis Taylor in Riverie, Tenn. (Island 35). He departed this life of natural causes exacerbated by the hopeless conditions of today’s Democratic Party on Aug. 15, 2024. Those of us who sat with him everyday know the real reason was because he was just tired of everyone’s crap, the grandkids leaving the light on in the bathroom, and all the telephone solicitations. Norman would never want anyone to be sad because he was prepared for this day, however, he would insist that you play a joke on someone every chance you get.
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Susan Taylor of the home; three children, Jeremy Taylor, Rodney Taylor and Christie Enmon, all of Osceola; six grandchildren, Jimmy Hood, Hunter Taylor, Wesley Wilson, Remington Bell, Coby Taylor and Kayson Taylor; as well as an air horn he used to summon his wife, Susan, because he couldn’t be heard over the television. He will also be truly missed by the Spam and potted meat industries for which he was an unofficial spokesman, until dietary restrictions forced him to eat real food. Norman was well known for his lack of patience, not holding back his opinions, and telling everyone exactly “how the horse ate the hay.” Norman loved his family more than anything in the world…except Donald Trump, NewsMax, Tucker Carlson, pinto beans, and the show Naked & Afraid.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Dewitt “Tal” Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Elvin “Vester” Taylor, Reggie Taylor, William “Doyle” Taylor and Robert “Eddie” Taylor; and one sister, Twanda Taylor.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave., Osceola. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, with Bro. James Lampley officiating. Burial will take place in Bassett Cemetery, Bassett. All services have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home-Osceola.
