Lavell Hall Maxwell
Lavell Hall Maxwell, 88, of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024 at her home.
Born to Franklin and Eva Stout Lowry, she was a self-employed seamstress. Lavell’s love for sewing was only surpassed by her immeasurable love for her family and grandchildren. Her life was a living testament to her faith as a devoted Christian lady. She read the Bible multiple times and she was dedicated to her church, the Apostolic Tabernacle. Lavell was an excellent cook and a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and friend.
In addition to her parents, Lavell was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Hall and Harold Maxwell; children, Patti Murphy, Vickie Maxwell, Harold Maxwell Jr., Marilyn Ivy and Larry Maxwell; and sisters, Lettie Packett and Charlene Lowry.
Lavell is survived by her children, Carol Manning of Blytheville, Brenda Hall of Jonesboro, Janice Daniels of Apple Valley, Minn., Carl Hall of Florida, and Paula Murphy of Missouri; one brother, Charles Lowry of Southaven, Miss.; two sisters, Viola Ray of Blytheville and Shirley Pajak of Paragould; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. in Dogwood Cemetery with Rev. Tony Becker officiating. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
