Derrick Renard Feemster
Derrick Renard Feemster “Feem” was born July 11, 1962, to Johnnie Feemster and Bessie M. Jones. He went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2024, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Feemster; his father, Johnny Feemster; two brothers, Cedric Pride and Jeff Feemster; and his uncle, Larry Chester “Slim”.
Derrick was a longtime factory worker for Omnium in Blytheville for 26 years until he retired in 2024. Derrick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports and doing yard work.
He confessed to Christ at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church in Helena. Derrick attended Central High School in West Helena and furthered his education at University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Bessie Jones of Helena; father-in-law, Bennie Northern of Blytheville; three daughters, Angelica Gross and Monica Reed, both of Blytheville, and Cierra Thomas of Jacksonville; four sons, Kirkland Feemster of Van Buren, Martell Thomas of Jacksonville, Brian Reed (Chiquitta) and Dante Reed, both of Blytheville; two sisters, Shonda Jones Kelly (Willie) of West Helena and Rhonda Jones Brown (Douglas) of Memphis; two brothers, Marvis Miller of Chicago, Ill., and Cedrick Jones of Helena; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10-11 a.m.at Temple of Praise Church, 1601 Chickasawba, Blytheville. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Memory Garden Cemetery, Blytheville.
