A house fire in Manila has claimed the life of one.
The Manila Fire Department was dispatched at 11:50 a.m. Saturday to a house fire at 202 Nancy Street in Manila with a report that someone was still inside. According to the fire report, on arrival, flames were showing on the Alpha/Delta (front/right side) of the front room with heavy smoke throughout the house.
FDI established command and immediately started search and rescue.
There were a total of four people inside the home with three making it outside. Firefighters got the information that the person inside should still be in the front bedroom.
A primary search team went through the window of the front bedroom. At the same time, another search/rescue team went through the rear door of the house to start searching. The front primary search/rescue team found the victim unresponsive and deceased due to smoke inhalation.
Once the deceased victim was found, the attack team then extinguished the fire.
