Helen Bufford

Helen Bufford is the daughter of the late Vera Jean Bufford and Eugene Ware. She was born May 28, 1956, in Turrell. On Friday June 21, 2024, Helen completed her earthly assignment and transitioned to her home made by God eternal in the heavens.

Helen accepted Christ at an early age and united with The Pilgrim Rest MB Church under the leadership of Rev. Cleveland Cain. Helen served as an usher. Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Crawford; one brother, Larry Bufford; three aunts and three uncles.

She is survived by her children: three daughters, Stacy Ware of Osceola, Daja Wallace and Deja Wallace, both of Jonesboro; four sons, Roger (LaQuita) Bufford of Forrest City, Johnny Adams III, Clifton Ware, Eric Boone, all of Osceola; two sisters, Linda (Paul) Coleman of Osceola and Barbara Crawford of Oklahoma City; one uncle, McArthor (Eula) Bufford of Mississippi; 12 grandchildren; Shania Coleman, Kaden Boone, Devonate Wallace, Javontae Wallace, Zakeeya Carter, Zamyliah Buckley, Avah Stevenson, Jakira Bohannon, Jacoby Wallace, Raniya Buford, Shanice Moore and A’miracle Lomax; six great-grandchildren, Jayden Adams, Khiarri Adams, Chase Feltus, Lukari Wallace, Ke’Asia Caldwell, La’meya Caldwell; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 6, from 1-2 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, 513 S. Carthon Drive, Osceola. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Burdette.
