Yvonne “Von” Weathers

Yvonne “Von” Weathers, 82, of Keiser went to her Heavenly Home Friday, June 28, 2024. She was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Osceola to Samuel and Mattie Smith. Von worked at Osceola Shoe Factory, was a supervisor at Eli Walker and co-owned Tip Top Fashion in Keiser. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, flowers, camping, cooking and baking, so much so, she opened and ran her own business called ‘Von’s Cakes’. She was a founding co-pastor of Keiser Chapel Church.

Von is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Weathers; daughters, Shelly Brooks (Scott) and Kim Griggs (Ryan); son, Kevin Weathers (Michelle); stepson, Jeff Weathers (Mandy); adoptive daughter, Barbara Perkins (Patrick); eight sassy granddaughters, Heather Colburn (Zac), Megan Owens (Chris, assistant minister), Hannah Tyler (Carson), Courtney Coffman (Blake), Taylor Lucius (Aaron, assistant minister), Whitney Tyler (Ryan), Kinsley Weathers and Hallee Ryan Griggs; one grandson, Weston Griggs; great-grandchildren, Madylin, Lily Kate, Harrison, Lawson, Tatum, Zoe, Hanson, Maverick, Mac, Colt, John Aaron, Kori, Rawlings and Kamon; step-grandchildren, Brandon Weathers (Kristin), Zach Weathers (Shelby), Brittany Horrell (Don), Chloe Weathers, Kayleigh Weathers; step-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Hensley, Remie, Hailey, Laynie, Witten, Easton, Daxton and Ava; sister, Wanda Gail Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mattie Bullion.

A visitation will be held at Roller Swift Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be at Keiser Chapel Church on Tuesday, July 2, at 11 am.
