Dorothy Marie Tegethoff

Dorothy Marie Tegethoff, 91, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Paragould.

Dorothy was born to Vernon and Irene Bobbitt Duck in Gibson County, Tenn. She served as the office manager at Dr. Cole’s Practice. Dorothy was a devout Christian and was a member of North 10th Baptist Church in Blytheville. Dorothy was a grand lady who was full of life, always put her family first, and earned the affectionate nickname “Momma T” to everyone who met her. She was an excellent baker, with coconut cake being her specialty.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alford Tegethoff; one daughter, Cindy Helton; and one sister, Linda Davis.

Dorothy is survived by one son, Tommy Tegethoff and wife Patricia of Paragould; and two daughters, Teresa Exline and husband William of Jackson, Tenn., and Betty Thompson and husband Bo of Como, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Michael Helton, Jacob Exline, Joshua Exline, India Holland, Kayte Thompson, David Tegethoff, Nicholas Tegethoff, and Elizabeth Bozarth; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Eldad Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton, Tenn.
