Joan Lavonne Farmer, 69, of Little Rock, passed from this life Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Daughter of the late Floyd Benny and Willie Lorette Starkey Stone, she was born and raised in Manila and was a graduate of Manila High School. Joan had worked at various healthcare facilities doing records management. Joan loved music, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Stone.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Floyd Farmer of the home; two daughters, Makesha Wood (Joe) of Little Rock and Astin Benedetto (Robert) of Delaware; three brothers, Wayne Benny Stone (Joyce) of Conway, Miles Stone (Annie) and Lester Stone (Becky), both of Manila; one stepbrother, Charles Galloway of Manila; three grandchildren, Sebastian Benedetto, Natalie Benedetto and Allison Benedetto, all of Delaware. Joan also leaves her stepmother, Shirley Stone of Manila.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Joe Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason Creasey, Brandon Stone, Makesha Wood, Astin Benedetto, Floyd Farmer and Joe Wood. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kris Farmer and Floyd Winstead.
