Rubin Samuel Irvin
Rubin Samuel Irvin, 90, of Osceola, passed away June 10, 2024. He was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Parkin to Sherman and Hallie Irvin. Rubin served in the United States Navy for over 20 years, retiring as a chief. He was a proud member of the Fleet Reserve - U.S. Navy. Rubin worshiped at the Assembly of God in Osceola.
He will be remembered by his beloved wife, Wilma Irvin of the home. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Irvin of San Antonio, Texas, and Ben Irvin of Fort Smith; his sisters, Juanita Lambert, Tressie Alonzo and Darlene Bune, all of Van Buren, Zelma Green of Hartford, and Selma Neihouse of St. Charles, Mo.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Rubin was preceded in death by his father Sherman Irvin, mother Hallie Irvin, and brother Elmer Irvin.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Bro. Danny Neal. The committal service will take place at Ermen Lane Cemetery, Osceola.
Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
Rubin will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
