Amy L. Carr

Amy L. Carr, 51, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. The daughter of the late Jerry Wayne and Cathy Michelle Ivy Carr, she was born and raised in Osceola and was a graduate of Osceola High School. Amy has been a Manila resident for the past 12 years and she was employed by Viskase as a machine operator. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Manila. Amy loved her dogs Phoebe, Shaggy and Milo and she enjoyed traveling in the 18-wheeler with her husband. She wrestled for Team Bad Company from Osceola under the name Sweet Cherry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Dewayne Carr.

Survivors include her fiance, Gary Galloway of Manila; one son, Jeremy Gibson (Brenda) of Manila; one daughter, Kayla Anderson of Manila; one brother, James Walter Carr (Debbie) of Texarkana. Amy also leaves eight grandchildren, three nieces, six nephews and a handful of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Gary Galloway and Reverend Robert White officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
