Shirley Lavone Harshman

Shirley Lavone Harshman, 83, of Osceola, passed away surrounded by family at her home on June 7, 2024. She was born in O’Donnell Bend to Thomas “Pete” Groves and Orie McClain-Groves. Shirley was a beloved member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Shirley retired from Harshman Rental which she and her husband operated together for many years. She was a dedicated member of Keiser First Baptist Church.

Shirley loved singing, cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She cherished moments with her husband of 67 years, Ed Harshman; her daughter, Pam Harshman (James Riddle) of Osceola; her grandson, Jason Harshman of Bassett; and her great-grandsons, Logan and Jaggar Harshman, both of Osceola. She is also survived by extended family members, Shon (Tamara) Wilson, of Hardy and their daughters, Rian and Reese Wilson.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “Pete” and Orie Groves, and her brother Tommy Groves.

Funeral services for Shirley were held at Keiser First Baptist Church in Keiser. Visitation was Sunday, June 9, from 1-2 p.m., followed by the funeral service officiated by Bro. Todd Vinson. Burial followed at Ermen Lane Cemetery in Osceola.

Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola assisted the family with the arrangements.
