Chris Holifield

Chris Holifield, 49, of Gosnell, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at his home.

Born to Chester and Penny Holifield in Seoul, Korea, Chris was a retired security officer at FedEx in Memphis, Tenn. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell. Chris was a great son, father, husband and friend. He loved to fish, play chess, travel and especially cook. He enjoyed barbecuing and was the chef for every family event. Chris was a very selfless man and always put others before himself.

In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by one brother, Dorsey Holifield.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Copeland Holifield of the home; four children, P.J. Holifield of Memphis, Tenn., Alexis Holifield of Southaven, Miss., Taylor Leal of Blytheville and Dakota Childs of Blytheville; his mother, Penny Holifield of Memphis, Tenn.; three nieces, Kylee Buchanan of Blytheville, Lindsey Holifield of Blytheville and Taye Holifield of Manila; one nephew, Jordan Holifield of Blytheville; four grandchildren; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 3, from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
