Johnny Mack Maupin Sr.
Johnny Mack Maupin Sr., 70, of Wilson, passed away May 6, 2024, at Harris Healthcare in Osceola. Born Jan. 4, 1954, in Blytheville, he was a man of many trades, primarily known for his lifelong dedication to farming. Mr. Maupin found great joy in his hobby of fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Maupin, of Wilson; two sons, Johnny Mack Maupin Jr. of Jonesboro and Richard W. Maupin (Emily) of Somerville, Tenn.; and two daughters, Samantha Tippy (Chad) of Wilson and Sarena Shaw-Cissell of Wilson. Mr. Maupin is also survived by his three brothers, Wesley Maupin (Charlene) of Manila, George Maupin (Paola) of Dallas, Ga., and Ricky Maupin (Bobbie) of Blytheville; and his sister, Mary Knight of Blytheville. He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Evan Maupin, Gabe Tippy, Harper Maupin, Adalynn Cissell, and great-granddaughter, Evelynn Maupin.
Mr. Maupin was preceded in death by his father, Richard Maupin; his mother, Mary Maupin; four brothers, Gary, Jerry, Larry, Billy Maupin; two sisters, Patricia Griffin and Gearldine Hastings; and a grandson, Ayden Bennett Shaw.
A visitation for family and friends was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave., Osceola. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is assisting the family with arrangements.
