BLYTHEVILLE - Saturday night the lights will illuminate Historic Hailey Field in Blytheville as TNR Championship Wrestling will present the Battle for the Chickasaws.

The wrestling event is being presented to benefit the Blytheville Chickasaws Baseball program.

Chickasaws head baseball coach Shawn Hearn, who also wrestles under “Coach Hearn,” is excited about the wrestling fundraiser. “This is another means of drawing awareness to our baseball program in the community,” said Hearn. “We hope the public will come out and support our kids.”

Hearn just completed his first season back in his hometown with the program and he is excited about the way things went. “We won a few games and interest in the program is greatly improved. We had excellent community support and we finished the season with 16 players. I am greatly pleased,” said Hearn.

As for Saturday, TNR, based in Leachville, is coming to Blytheville to do something TNR owner Robbie Shirley has never done, wrestle under the lights on a football field. “This will be a first for us,” said Shirley. “We are all about giving back to the communities that support us. We love doing fundraisers for schools, as I said, it is all about giving back,’ said Shirley.

The wrestling card will feature OVW superstar Tony Gunn, TNR heavyweight champion Chaos the Gorilla, The Authentic Ray Ivy, TJ Murphy, Dad Bod God Steven Parks, Buffalo Island Jr. Champion Eli Parks and many other TNR superstars.

The highlight event of the evening will in fact be a “Street Fight” featuring the tag team of Prestigious P Hancock and The Authentic Ray Ivy facing off against Coach Hearn and TJ Murphy. “That match is signed, sealed and ready to be delivered Saturday,” said Shirley.

Admission to the event is $10. Gates will open at 7 p.m. All Blytheville High School athletes wearing a uniform top, will be admitted free. Bell-time is 8 p.m.

“I am excited about this event. I hope the community will come out and support the Baseball program,” said Hearn. Hearn also wants to thank the following businesses for their support and sponsorship of the wrestling event. “I thank Rose Pharmacy, Blytheville Sheet Metal, Diamond Auto Sales, GQ Fashions and RnR Tire for their support. Without their support, this would not be possible,” said Hearn.
