The City and County Youth Program, a non-profit organization, will soon celebrate 40 years of service to the community.

The director and founder of C.C.Y. Shannon Duck Sims said the program has been successful due to the community support which has a heart to make sure all children have school supplies, coats, etc.

It is time to begin C.C.Y.’s annual fundraising campaign for the upcoming events. Sims said he wants to thank all of the sponsors in advance for all they do to put smiles on thousands of children’s faces throughout Mississippi County during the youth day.

Youth Day 2024 will be held Aug. 3 at Williams Park from 1-5 p.m. There will be fun activities and refreshments.

The C.C.Y. also provides school supplies and back-packs preparing the students for the school year.

The fourth annual coats give-a-way will take place on Nov. 2.

Anyone who would like to make a donation may call Sims at 870-623-3179 or mail a check to C.C.Y. 607 Shivers Street, Blytheville, Ark. 72315.
