J.B. Kuykendall Sr.

Mr. J.B. Kuykendall Sr. was born in Augusta on Dec. 2, 1939, to the late Willie and Rosie Kuykendall. J.B was baptized at an early age. Upon becoming an adult J.B. moved to Blytheville. In 1961 J.B would marry the love of his life Mary Hinton. J.B. and Mary were married 40 years. J.B. worked on the farm for many years until he moved on to work for the city of Blytheville until he retired. J.B. loved spending time with his family and friends, playing cards and dominoes.

J.B began his journey into eternity on March 23, 2024, at Great River Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Hinton Kuykendall; two brothers, L.J. Kuykendall Sr. and Eugene Kuykendall; and two sisters, Ole Mae and Bernice Kuykendall.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, J.B (Tasha) Kuykendall Jr., of Blytheville, Pastor Eddie (Marlene) Moore of Cypress, Texas, and Jessie Moore of Blytheville. He also leaves behind one daughter, Lucy Ray of Cypress, Texas; two sisters: Mamie Kuykendall of Chicago, Ill., and Idelia Johnson of Jacksonville. J.B. leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Funeral service is March 30, at noon at Loving Jesus Ministries 607 Eldorado Drive, Blytheville.
