Frazier named Blytheville Interim Police Chief

Blytheville Mayor Melisa Logan has appointed Assistant Chief Johnathan Frazier as interim police chief and Cpt. Vanessa Stewart as interim assistant chief.

Logan made this announcement at tonight’s city council meeting.

Ten applicants have applied for the chief’s job left vacant by the retirement of Ross Thompson.

Mayor Logan said she will be meeting with the Police and Fire Committee in the upcoming weeks to hire a full-time chief.
