Pirates host Bobcats

GOSNELL— The Gosnell Pirates hosted 3A-3 Conference foe the Corning Bobcats Monday night in a doubleheader where the Pirates cruised to a 10-0 and 16–1 victory, respectfully.

The Pirates were led by senior hurler Trent Middleton in the first game pitching a complete game allowing one hit, five walks and eight strikeouts.

Gosnell’s offense tallied 14 hits in the first game.

The second game, the Pirates were led by senior hurler Jake Reams for a three-inning complete game allowing one run on three hits and four walks. Reams fanned five Bobcat batters in the win.

Gosnell scored 16 runs on nine hits and drew 10 walks.

The Pirates moved to 9-1 this season and 6-0 in conference play.

Gosnell traveled to Manila Friday night to play the Lions in 3A-3 conference play.
