Billy Ray Hetler

Billy Ray Hetler, 61, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born and raised in Leachville, he was the son of the late Bill and Eva Darlene Blocker Hetler and was a 1980 graduate of Leachville High School. He was an assistant manager at Walmart for many years, had worked as a sales representative for Performance Food Group and most recently Ben E. Keith, until his retirement in 2021. Billy was a member of Leachville Church of Christ, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching stock car races. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Darla Hetler.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Janiece Jarrett Hetler of the home; one son, Eric Archer (Jena) of Paragould; two daughters, Chandra Tanner (David) of Lonoke and Laci Hutchison (Adam) of Beaver Creek, Ohio; five grandchildren, Zane Tanner, Autumn Tanner, Drake Tanner, Wyatt Hutchison and Lily Hutchison.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Reverend Mark Wheeler officiating. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.HowardFuneralService.com.
