Eva Ann Chitwood

Eva Ann Chitwood was born to Frankie and Julia Kelly on June 13, 1947. She passed away on Monday the 29th of January 2024.

She grew up in Fayetteville, where she worked as an administrator at the VA hospital for over 20 years. Eva married Clif Chitwood and moved to Osceola in 1991 where she continued to work in the health care industry for the next 30 years. Eva adapted to life in the Arkansas Delta, whose people and culture she came to love.

She is survived by her husband Clif Chitwood; her children, Douglas Stanberry, Zachary Chitwood and Abigail Giffin; her grandchildren, Shelby Stanberry, Madeline Giffin and Auten Giffin; her sisters, Sharon Rakes and Beverly Center; her nephews, Gary Rakes Jr., Kristin Hime, Steve Ridenoure, Rachael Surber; and countless friends who loved her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Osceola. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
