Lealon Rollin Nichols
Lealon Rollin Nichols, 82, of Osceola, passed away Jan. 15, 2024, at his home. He was an Army veteran, retired from Southwire Specialty, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lealon loved fishing and hunting. He was born Nov. 14, 1941, in Whitton to Lee and Ethel Blaylock Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Nichols; nine sisters, Mary Aldridge, Maxine Sharp, Eveline Wiley Nichols, Aldine Nichols, Kathreen Wilson, Betty Duke, Nova Reid, Robby Faye Nichols and Mauveline Edgar.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Nichols of the home; two daughters, Carol (Ronnie) Herron of Rosa and Michelle (Archie) Shepperson of Osceola; two brothers, Ray Nichols of Osceola and Kenneth Nichols of Millington, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Gary (April) Shepperson and Bethany Moore of Osceola, Destiny (Tyler) Standefer of Farmington and Blake Morris of Bryant; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Arie and Krislea.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola with Bro. Gary Andrews officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of the services.
