MANILA - Senior Luke Kirk and junior Rex Farmer combined to score 36 points as the Manila Lions eased past visiting Corning Friday in Conference 3A-3 basketball action at Manila.
Kirk scored 19 points while Farmer added 17 points as the Lions (9-11, 3-1) overcame the Bobcats. Seniors Jayce Couch (13 points), Luke Blanchard (912 points) and Roman Davis (11 points) led the Bobcats who lost for the first time in conference action this season. Corning fell to 10-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
Manila also won the junior boys game as ESPN Burrow scored 21 points and Noel Saloman added 16 points.
