The National Weather Service has predicted an active pattern will continue in the coming days with storm systems/impactful weather Thursday and Friday and early next week. Mostly rain and wind will be seen later this week.
In addition to rain and wind, there will be a potential for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms, especially across central and southern Arkansas.
By the weekend/early next week, Arctic air will surge into the region from the northwest. This will result in below to much below average temperatures. Once cold air is in place, it appears that wintry precipitation will become more likely early next week as storm systems continue arriving form the west/southwest.
The potential does exist for widespread accumulating wintry precipitation.
