The Mississippi County Literacy Council’s new facility in Manila will be welcomed with an open house and a ribbon cutting on two consecutive days, Jan. 15 and 16.
Director Alicia Rounsavall said she is excited and pleased to welcome the public to come by and visit the literacy headquarters. The county literacy group will be working with adults throughout the county at several locations.
The Blytheville and Manila Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting and open house from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15 and the Osceola Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
Rounsavall said they have had a great reception this year with over 10 students and programs benefiting citizens in Mississippi County.
“We are also pleased to open the doors of our new adult learning center facility in Manila,” she said.
